About this app

Brickit helps you build new things with your old bricks.

1. Spread out your bricks and take a photo of them. The app will scan the photo, identifying and counting the details.

2. Decide what to build. Brickit suggests building ideas depending on what bricks you have. Choose from robots, kangaroos, airplane, and more!

3. Build your creations using our step-by-step instructions. The instructions are useful, but you don’t have to stick to them exclusively. We give you ideas, and you decide what to make of them.

4. Find any brick you want easily. Just choose a detail in our catalog, and the app will highlight it in your pile. The bricks you need in the instructions are highlighted in the steps where you need them.

Good technology, but not quite there. For us, it scans and finds ideas to build but the problem is, MOST of the ideas are things that are color specific to make the specific character, but when the thing starts to show you how to do it, it's random colors. I wish there was a way to filter it to only use the color bricks that are shown.

This app does not work. I tried using it in order to find pieces for a set. After it scanned, I began scrolling through the pieces it saw to find the one I needed, but could not find. It crashed 14 times. 14 times, while literally just scrolling. I decided to uninstall and reinstall, but then it just wouldn't let me do anything after scanning except try this demo where it scanned a picture of a lego pile that wasn't the one I had. I just gave up and uninstalled. I'm done.

Excellent use-case for image recognition and a great idea in theory. Ultimately, it falls short. I had the same issues as others - app will finish a scan but then refuse to provide at least the list of parts, brick ID issues, clunky UX, etc. My biggest nit is the ethos - I would gladly pay even $10/month for a tool that can help me organize my BL shop by identifying shape and color, and allowing me to export a BOM. Sadly, doesn't seem like the intent. Seems like a miss.

We are sorry that our app did not meet all your expectations. But we are definitely ready to help you figure out the problems in the scan. Tell us more about this?
