This magnetic field sensor app measures and displays a graph of Magnetic Field (µT) vs. Time (s) that in x, y, and/or z dimensions, as well as total magnitude. By accessing settings, data can also be displayed with a digital read-out.

Total magnitude magnetic field strength can be recorded and exported in an e-mail or through Google Drive as a .csv attachment using a comma or a semicolon as a delimiter. Click on settings to plot data against elapsed time or clock time, to change the plot line thickness, or to change data collection rate. A brief tutorial upon start-up gives an overview of how to use the app.

The magnetic field sensor can measure the background magnetic field of the earth and be used to check for the presence of permanent magnets or electromagnetic fields. Within the classroom, the magnetometer can be used to determine the inverse-square law for a "point source" magnet, to determine the strength of a field produced by a solenoid, or to measure the frequency of objects with magnetic variations, such as audio speakers or magnetic plate stirrers.

Permissions Explained:

android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: A csv file is created and modified on the phone's internal memory.

Very cool app. As a watch collector, I use it to make sure my watches are not near anything magnetic and to test objects that I think might be. You can even use it to determine if your watch has been accidentally magnetized (which changes its ability to keep correct time). Very helpful! Thanks for the cool app!

This app is amazing for the people who are rating this app 1 star *cough* get a better phone WITH magnetic sensors but this app uses the sensors to see the magnetic field of objects near you but with the people who don't have a more modern phone this app won't work unless you got magnetic sensors there are other apps like this but they all are tradh and scams there are very few apps thst really use the resources in your phone to make them work this app doesn't crash not laggy and works 100%

Seriously good App. I get that the sensors are proportional to how well this meter App works but other than the specs to the app, the layout is smooth while the interface makes it all come together. I Rate it "R" bc the app designer Murdered it!!!
