Kortext provides access to online and offline eBooks from multiple publishers, with enhanced in-built audio and video content, combined with tools to assist learners and academics to make the most of the content.
Features include:
- Easy navigation to content, providing quick access to pages
- Highlight extracts in a range of colours, enabling quick reference of key sections
- Add notes to content and share via email or OneNote, allowing notes from different books to be collated in one area
- Add a reference (Harvard or APA), making creation of bibliographies much easier
- Read Aloud sections, providing help with accessing content
- Increase text size, making it easier to view content

Ratings and reviews

App works fine but would be nice if it would remember my place in a textbook when bouncing from web to app. I swap depending on where I'm at during the day. More importantly, would like the "Read Aloud" feature to use my phones saved TTS voice data at the very least. The default is too robotic and outdated. AI is capable of matching tone inflection and better handling of punctuation which would make it easier to follow along when using read aloud. offline reading works but sometimes won't load

The app works how it wants when it wants. the highlight feature stops working for groups of words and only allows single words. The read aloud feature shows options but when you change voices and settings it might choose to take the pitch change or the speed change or none or it will remain the same as before. The app will lock up randomly while using so you have to force close and restart your reading. There's more but I need to study. At least I can read it.

I utilize digital copies of books for school so I can listen to them, Kortext has been the least user friendly platform I have been forced to use. It doesn't read half of what's on the page, it skips around the page or just flat out doesn't read anything. I'm extremely frustrated that I have to use this platform for the next five months to finish out my semester. I do not recommend this app to anyone. The website is only better by a smidge, but even that struggles on the regular.
