You earn rewards from the protocol, not Coinbase. Coinbase acts only as a service provider connecting you, the validators, and the protocol. We pass along any rewards earned from staking, minus a transparent Coinbase fee.

Ratings and reviews

Easy to use and very informative. However. Starting to lose trust as now, when I buy, sell or trade, it isn't accurate live pricing. And always in coinbase favor. Never mine, so im converting higher than the true live price and losing and on the other end, when I was to sell, getting a higher loss as the price is lower than the live price. This is disappointing.

My main issue comes to converting crypto. For example, let's say I wanted to convert some Bitcoin for ETH. But I want to receive 0.5 ETH, or a full coin. I want to have the option to convert to the amount that I want to receive. It's almost good on the UI, but every single time I go to tap on the icon/crypto that I want to view, I have to press the button multiple times in order for it to work. It's very annoying, I shouldn't have to press Bitcoin 5 times in order to view/buy it.

Fee, fee, spread (aka fee), fee, and spread (fee). To start, there is a fee to transfer funds into your new Coinbase account. Then there is a 3% fee to buy, plus a spread (a fee). When you sell, they take another 3%, plus the spread. Other than all the visible and "hidden" fees, the app is pretty good. Receipts do not disclose all fees. Screenshot and file the transaction info before confirming a purchase/sale. Otherwise, the numbers won't add up later.
