The official APP of the Ex Convent of Santa Maria della Giustizia of Taranto.
SMDG TARANTO EXPERIENCE is the official App of the Ex Convent of Santa Maria della Giustizia of Taranto, a complex located a few kilometers from the city center of Taranto.
A unique structure of its kind, the first evidence of which dates back to around the year 1100 AD, within which architectural and artistic peculiarities merge as a result of its long and multifaceted history.
The App is multilingual (Italian and English) and offers, in addition to various general information, a series of experiences based on AR technology (augmented reality). Various experiences can be enjoyed not only on site during the visit, but also remotely with the aim of increasing the level of accessibility, allowing all audiences, near or far, to be able to discover this magical place thanks to innovation.
With this App you can:
1) Explore the environments of the monastery in an immersive way, from anywhere, thanks to the virtual portals
2) Discover, position and visualize the finds, in 3D, found during the excavations carried out in the area of the structure
3) Get information on various points of interest in the city of Taranto through a special virtual guide
Upon opening the App, the user has a view of the entire offer of virtual experiences which are divided into different macro-areas. By selecting one of these, it will be sufficient to follow the instructions, activate the experience and enjoy the contents offered.
The contents of the application are of the visual type (the virtual portals), visual and textual (the 3D artifact viewer) or visual, textual and audio (the tour of citizen POIs).
