About this app

Cortex Monitor works with your on board Cortex M1 device to monitor both the built-in Cortex sensors and other sensors on your boat that you connect to your Cortex Hub.

- Setup is easy and free
- Use the Cortex Hub’s built-in sensors for battery level, barometric pressure and boat position.
- Connect your Cortex Hub to NMEA 2000, or an external sensor, to add monitoring for wind, depth, bilge high water, temperature, shore power or security.
- Unlock your Cortex Hub to receive real-time sensor information, alerts and remotely control key circuits like air conditioning, lights or refrigeration.
- Once you’ve unlocked your Cortex Hub you can also track your vessel, set geo-fence alarms and use our Award Winning AnchorWatch to know your boat is safe at anchor.

I was force-logged-out, and now the app crashes immediately when trying to sign into a Google account. Additionally, I have been removed as owner from my own vessel, resulting in needing to go to the boat and rescan the qr, after reinstalling the application. This completely defeats the point of a monitoring system - it works less often than it doesn't. Additionally, when it is working the app shows that I have a 'lite' monitoring subscription, despite having paid for a year only 4 months ago.

App is buggy and Support is not familiar enough with their product. Disappointing for $150+/yr. Critical missing features: - Notifications / alarms on your system notifications panel, so they work even when the app isn't in the foreground. I bought the Cortex to tell me if my boat is sinking, and it doesn't deliver on that marketing promise. - Ability to pinch zoom and pan on line charts, or otherwise change the scale. disappointed, constantly having to log into the app, sometimes it then works other times it doesn't, slow to find the boat position, says 'sit back this may take a few minutes'.... then nothing, no timer, it might update, it might not, just leaves you waiting, no record of historical data i.e. anchoring bread crumbs, depth, wind etc. Not something I can rely on, I paid a lot of money for the hardware to enable me to have peace of mind while sailing and this app unfortunately falls short.
