GATOR SAFE is the official safety app of University of Florida. The University of Florida Police Department has worked to develop a unique app that provides students, faculty and staff with added safety on the UF campus. The app will send you important safety alerts and provide instant access to campus safety resources.

GATOR SAFE features include:

- Mobile BlueLight: Send your location to UFPD in real-time in case of a crisis

- Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the University area in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern

- Tip Reporting: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to UFPD.

- Safety notifications: Receive instant notifications and instructions from campus safety when on-campus emergencies occur.

- Chat with Security: Communicate live with UFPD via chat.

- Crime Mapping: View recent crimes that have occurred on and near campus.

- Campus safety resources: access all important safety resources in one convenient app.

Super convenient and user friendly

I installed this on my phone today in order to stay updated on UF ALERTS. I was VERY disappointed when the app sent me to UF Alert's Twitter acct. But then I opened the app a second time, I noticed a very small line at the top with the /!\ symbol & "UF Alert". This is something important enough that it should require a MUCH more prominent space than the one small line. I recommend moving the Twitter feed and Facebook page to a social media button. Do that & you'll get 5 stars.

This is the worst app I have ever tried to use. It's clumsy and often inaccurate. Busses appear and disappear seemingly at random. Today, it won't even open. I've written a negative review before, but somehow it disappeared. Incompetent and dishonest?
