Love It! Love the fact that it saves word searches (recent search) even if favorite word is not checked. Love that if need arises, pronunciations are a finger tap away. This app is used for my tablet exclusively; only wish it was an automatic search while reading a book but that is an easy adjustment. Also, recent word searches can be sent to your email, clipboard or about any other method for future reference and built right in. As far as this reader is concerned this is one of, if not the best app out there.
I love this app. As an English student myself, it has been incredibly handy, and the fact that it provides different meanings depending on the function of the word is amazing; the synonyms are very useful too. My only concern right now is that the app hasn't been working properly. It doesn't start at all, it just shows the intro, loading screen and then closes itself. Any help with this issue will be highly appreciated
Still Works great. I love it! I rate this 5 stars! Actually 15 stars, being this is my 3rd review, & it's been working like a champ. No ka'oi, that means, the best or #1 in Hawaiian. What else is there to say? Proper spelling is important for me, & the thesaurus allows my writings, to not only broaden my cache of words, but my readers too! The ability to always have this kind of knowledge at my call & beckon is invaluable. That's my opinion. Try it, then you decide.
Random Pages I have the app set up as a widget to receive the word of the day but whenever I click on the widget to see a more detailed definition it takes me to a random word from weeks ago instead of that days word. Additionally it is hit or miss whenever it comes to using the pronunciation button from the widget sometimes the audio works and others, which happens more often, it does not work at all. Otherwise a great app but would like to see some bugs worked out before being pleased.
Generally great--except when I hit "share" Every time I try to share the Word of the Day on fb, the graphic link the app creates has the wrong word! The LINK is fine--if you tap on it, it goes to the correct word. But the VISUAL on the graphic link is the WotD from some other day--today it showed the word from 3 days ago! I'm ignoring their points system--I'll never accumulate enough for anything. But it's a very handy app to have on my phone to just quickly look up a definition or spelling, & the word of the day has often been very interesting!
Good App in general This app is one of the more useful utility apps. It is simple to use and find definitions and synonyms, and is even great to have an offline mode for free. The only issues are that the previous searches are in the way when you try to look up a word. Tip: Don't sign up for the mPlus rewards;it usually gets in the way.
