The app works or it doesn't. Rakuten in general is great, especially with the desktop add-on. The app only works correctly sometimes. I've reinstalled and cleared cache and it still only partly works. Sometimes I can't get into any profile/account info. Sometimes the biometrics don't work. Currently I can't see any history, it shows my last trip was 2023 (which is not true.)

Thank you for this feedback. The biometrics function is a feature of your phone. Once activated, our app may take advantage of it to verify your identity when accessing certain parts of our app. You can find a complete list of all Shopping Trips under the My Account (the person icon) section. It's been great for cash back, usually one of the top apps along with TopCashBack. It is slow to acknowledge qualifying cash back transactions and even slower to process them/cash them out. The 1 star is because their app broke around a day ago (12-06-2024) and hasn't worked since. I've forced stopped, reinstalled and signed back in, it's still not loading when you open it.

App is slow and glitchy, making shopping through it extremely frustrating only to them have an incorrect amount of cash back credited (1.5% instead of 10%), and yes I read the list of exclusions. Whether the error is coming from a merchant coding something incorrectly, or Rakuten themselves being scummy, this is deceptive behavior that reeks of scam and a waste of time
