🧠 How to Play Hoskin?

The game is played by 4 players.

Only Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 cards from four 52-card decks are used. (Total 80 cards.)

The goal: to collect the most points and win the number of tricks you bid.

If the player who won the bid doesn't score the number of points they score, they receive the same number of negative points.

The game awards points in two stages:
1️⃣ Based on the cards in your hand before the game starts
2️⃣ Based on the cards you receive during the game

Points earned at the beginning of the game:

Aces: 1 run = 100 | 2 runs = 1000 | 3 runs = 1500 | 4 runs = 2000

Kings: 1 run = 80 | 2 runs = 800 | 3 runs = 1200 | 4 sets = 1600

Queens: 1 set = 60 | 2 sets = 600 | 3 sets = 900 | 4 sets = 1200

Jacks: 1 set = 40 | 2 sets = 400 | 3 sets = 600 | 4 sets = 800

Trump suits (A, 10, K, Q, J): +150 points

Phoenix (Queen of Spades + Jack of Diamonds): 1 pair = 40 | 2 pairs = 300 | 3 pairs = 600 | 4 pairs = 3600

Married (King + Queen of the same suit): trump = 40 | other suits = 20

🃎 Card Values ​​During the Game

Ace: 11 | 10: 10 | King: 4 | Queen: 3 | Jack: 2
The player who won the last trick earns +20 points.

If you don't win the number you promised in the bid, you lose the number of points you bid.
Players who don't win any tricks will have their points reset to zero.

🧩 Trump and Playing Rules

The first player starts the trick with any card they choose.

Other players must play cards of the same suit if they have one.

If they don't have any cards of the same suit, they can win by playing a trump.

If they don't have a trump, they can play a different card.

If no trump is played, the highest card wins.

If a trump is played, the highest trump is played.

In Hoskin, the highest card is the Ace, followed by 10.
Because there are four of each card, the same card can be played multiple times. When the same card is played, the first player to play wins.
