Thank you for raising the issue regarding the ESB Ecars mobile app, Ecar Connect. In relation to the distance to chargers being expressed in miles instead of km, to fix this, you can either change the language setting on your device from ‘English (UK)’ to ‘English (Ireland)’, or change the ‘distance unit’ to ‘kilometres’ in your navigation app (Google Maps for example).

Absolutely awful app. 1990's style user interface, distance shown in miles, clunky to use. If you are stuck using ESB infrastructure, get yourself the physical card and avoid this app like the plague.

Edit...call to ESB customer service during weekday fixed the issue. Account not set up properly. Eric in CS fixed the account and chargers visible again! Shows no charge points at all on the map. If I filter for 3rd party only, it shows them, but none of ESB's own chargers. Logging out of account allows you to see chargers in the app and pay over web interface as a one time payment.
