This app used to be awesome, but ever since I upgraded my phone nothing will play and downloading will not work. It can take 10 minutes for a chapter to start playing and the playback is no longer continuous, regardless of the settings or version. Whenever I try to download a book nothing happens. This is a real shame, I used to use this app every day and now I have had to uninstall it. I had previously rated this 5 stars when it worked.

Enjoy the many different versions available and calming voices. 9/1/22 no longer works, time bar just goes with 0/0. No sound. What happened??? I HATE upgrades!!! 12/1/22 Now crashes every time I try to set the timer, keeps asking for permission to accept phone calls and pictures from my device, when it crashes it says there is a bug that the developer needs to fix. Uninstalling until bugs are fixed, app is unusable now. Sad because I used to listen every night.

This app is a perfect and straightforward, No-Frills approach to exactly what I need for my daily Bible reading and it has been great so far! I do wish that it had speed controls because I prefer to listen to scripture at a slightly more conversational speed of 1.25 or 1.3 and other Bible programs have allowed me to adjust the speed of playback so that's one feature I really wish it had been otherwise it's perfect and has a nice variety of versions as well as a nice layout.
