2 stars for the fact that once you finally get it to work, it works well. Minus 3 stars for everything else like the length of time it takes the speaker and app to connect and especially the fact that no speaker settings are saved within the app and have to be manually reset every time the speaker is turned off and back on. I've written into support before and they tell me it's a known issue and that they are working on it Problem is that was today and I've been using this app for over 2 years.

Awful!! I would love to be able to access the preset equalizer settings, because it really does make a difference in the listening experience, but rarely will my Pathfinder 4 ever connect with this app! ION, I think you make a good speaker, but you need to make sure this works work ALL your products. Please for this and I'll fix my rating. Update: 4/29/21-Very quick reply, but I sure hope the problem is fixed soon.

The UI of the app is nice and simple. The annoying thing about this app is the initial pairing. My advice is: do not pair your device to the speaker from the phone's Bluetooth settings. Start the pairing from this app as it will guide you through the steps (Somehow pairing from your phone settings and then pairing to the app doesn't work.) Once you get the app working, it's a good app. The only downside is not being able to change colors.
