An answer to the question below for Forex market ;

I want to open position and am willing to risk at most some percent of my capital if things go wrong. I (scientifically ?!) calculated my stop loss distance to be some pips away from my (buying/selling) price.

Given all of the above what is the maximum size I should open position with ?

* Pip value for calculated size is displayed along with quote used to calculate position size.

Note : If you know the exact amount to risk and want to do calculation using that amount (instead of % of total capital), then entering that amount as "trading capital" and entering 100 as "max percentage to risk" will do the trick. Thanks to Phil Casey for pointer.

Usefull but not very accurate. I risk 2% per trade however the lot size it gives me will hit stop loss at much more. Like XAU/USD it always gives you a lot size smaller than it should. The pip value is never correct either. Still a useful app to get you in and around the right lit size.

the best app. thank you very much for this. My request is to add the provision where you insert the current market price, to determine the stop loss point price after a certain pips that one wants to lose. In short I want to be able to know where 20 pips for example will be after indicating the current market price. thank you
