The Decibel Meter app shows you the noise level in your environment. Just open the app and it will start working automatically. The app also provides a chart that shows the values read by the sensor. It's a light, simple and effective app.

Ratings and reviews

This app worked well, until the last update where they added the splash screen when launching the app. It slows down the app launching, and often it just hangs on the splash screen. Please revert back to the old version and get rid of the unnecessary splash screen!

Readings are more stable than dial type apps. and instantaneous graphical display helps to clearly see results. Would be an advantage to be able to save a set of results.

Does what it has to do. Very happy that the only required permission is recording sound, obviously. Other apps typically require full network access -- this one is more secure.
