I am all of the above, which is why I made Queen Bee.

* Play the daily NYT spelling bee game, with more helpful info such as number of words by length, number of pangrams, etc.
* Play unlimited number of generated puzzles
* 3 different dictionary sizes (larger dictionary = generally harder puzzles)
* Bonus: dictionary derived from collected works of Shakespeare
* Use hints (optional) if you get really stuck
* Day and night mode

I made this game for myself. I hope you enjoy it, too.

Ratings and reviews

Love this game. Thank you for making it accessible without the fee required by NYT. My only suggestion is to allow for unlimited hints. I don't like cheating to find the words I can't get, but I find the hints very helpful. Unfortunately, the limitation of only being allowed a certain amount per puzzle just seems unnecessary. Just my two cents.

Overall, fun but can be frustrating. Never fails when I quit a game and look can at the words I "didn't find" there are always a few that I DID find and tried repeatedly but the app claimed they weren't in the list. Also wonder about the list. MANY words are not included in the list. Would also be nice to see what percentage of people found specific words or reached the same score. Would like to if the game would show some stats to measure my improvement.

This is a pretty great app and an improvement on what it's being modeled after! Three things would make it sooo much better (and I'd pay to buy the app): a short historical record of games played, like a week worth of nyt ones, for example that one could go back into to play; some statistics of number of games played and a count of levels achieved, I.e. this past week, 5 times genius achieved, 2 outstanding; and ability to stop change of orientation when laying down. Thanks!

What's new

New: Play pangram blitz. Find all the pangrams before time runs out. You put more time on the clock by finding words. However, finding non-pangrams will lower your score.

Updated: the large and extra large dictyionaries have been expanded, for an even tougher challenge!
