The app uses a detailed calculation instead of a rough countdown. It takes egg size, desired doneness, starting temperature, altitude, stove type, and water volume into account.

For everyday use, quick presets get you started in seconds. If you want more control, you can fine-tune the egg size by weight or width, choose the exact yolk temperature, set the starting temperature, and let the app detect your altitude automatically.
