About this app

RSS Feed Fetcher is a RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed reader app. A single app to keep you up-to-date with your favourite websites which supports RSS.

Almost every informative website has its own app. You have to install their apps in order to keep yourself up to date with their content.

The app's count on your phone increases as you follow more websites. Having installed a lot of apps on your phone obviously impacts your phone's internal storage. It also becomes very difficult to navigate among the apps you have installed.

RSS Feed Fetcher solves the issue. If your favourite or any website you want to follow supports RSS then you can add the website in this app. Doing so, all your websites will be at one place and the app lets you organise the websites into folders and keeps you up to date with their content using RSS.

Note
In the following how-to section, channel means a website which supports RSS for its content.

How-To
This app lets you organise your RSS channels using folders. For this, you have to navigate to the Folders Settings view.

Use the hamburger menu button or swipe from left to middle on the screen while you are in the main view to open the folders pane. Tap on the Settings icon located at the top right corner.

This will open the Folders Settings view. On this page you can add folders.

After you add folders, it's time to add your favourite websites to the folders.

On the main view, tap the + icon button. This will open a view where you can paste the url copied from within a web browser like Chrome.

Tapping the search button will start looking for the RSS channels at the website url.

After search completes, the app will present all the RSS channels being maintained at the url.

You can inspect each channel using the eye icon button.

Tap Select Folder button to add the RSS channels that you have chosen to a folder of your choice.

That is it, following the above steps you will successfully add your favourite websites into the app.

Pin a folder
On every start, the app will automatically navigate you to the pinned folder and start updating all the channels within the folder.

To pin a folder you have to navigate to the Folders Settings view and tap the pin icon next to theaa folder name of your choice.

You can only pin a single folder.

How to delete a folder or RSS channel
In order to delete a folder or RSS channel, simply long press on it. The app lets you multi-select the items (folders or channels) and delete using the delete option on the action bar.

You can only delete folders within the Folders Settings view and channels within the main view.

Feedback needed
As a developer of the app, I'll research and try to add new useful features, but at the same time I need your feedback to make this app more useful.
