About this game

Ruststead is a cozy homestead browser-based, menu RPG where you carve out a life from the land — one resource, craft, and relationship at a time.

▎ Start with nothing but a patch of dirt and build your way up. Chop wood, mine ore, tend crops, raise animals, and craft everything from planks to precious metals. Every action grows your homestead and unlocks new possibilities.

▎ Build & Craft
▎ Gather resources across multiple zones and craft hundreds of items in your workshop. Manage a crafting queue,
upgrade your home room by room, and unlock advanced materials as your level grows.

▎ Farm & Ranch
▎ Plant and harvest dozens of crop varieties. Build animal facilities to raise chickens, cows, goats, pigs, and horses. Care for your animals to improve the quality of what they produce.

▎ Trade & Compete
▎ Buy and sell on the player-driven Trading Post. Watch the Town Notice Board for weekly demand shifts that reward you for producing what the town actually needs.

▎ Explore & Discover
▎ Venture into the Deep Mines for roguelike expeditions. Drill deep underground with the extraction rig for rare resources. Unlock new zones as your homestead grows.

▎ Level Up
▎ Progress through a skill tree with 120 skills across five specializations. Complete quests, earn achievements, and grow your homestead level to unlock new content.

▎ Meet Your Neighbors
▎ Build relationships with a cast of unique characters. Complete questlines, give gifts, and unlock rewards as friendships deepen.

▎ Work at your own pace. Progress saves automatically. Play a little or a lot — your land is always waiting.

What’s new

Initial public beta release of the game. This version includes core gameplay systems such as building, crafting, farming, animals, trading, buying and selling, and progression. Ongoing updates will continue to improve stability, performance, and gameplay based on player feedback.
