The congress is based on the recognition that the approach to contemporary socio-environmental problems and their possible responses require collective, inter- and transdisciplinary efforts at different levels. The configuration of the various sustainability must be conceived from different ontologies, epistemologies, values and definitions of sustainability, consistent with the heterogeneity of the territories, as well as with the richness of the various sociocultural and environmental contexts.
