About this game

Virtual Virtual Boy (VVB) is an emulator for the Virtual Boy 3D console. You can use it with a pair of cheap Anaglyph 3D glasses, or with Google Cardboard, to play Virtual Boy games on an Android phone.

Planet Virtual Boy has many free homebrew games available at https://www.virtual-boy.com/homebrew/. The game in the screenshot is Red Square, made by Kresna and Nyrator.

I love this app, just downloaded it. The Virtual Boy is a fairly niche and unpopular console, so having a free way to play their games without spending hundreds is so awesome. My only issue with the app is when you change from vertical to horizontal, the game automatically save states. This can be useful, but othertimes annoying. I wish there was simply a button to savestate whenever we want. Although the app automatically save stating when you exit the app or game is a QOL feature I love.

this is probably the best way to play virtual Boy games on Android, although there are some issues like the sound crackling, and slowdown (even though my phone is on the high end of mid range phones), but since nobody really cares about virtual Boy emulation, beggars can't be choosers! so in conclusion, if you want some Mario clash, get this emulator!

The controls are so bad. When you try to use the d-pads simultaneously with any other buttons, the d-pads will either not function or will press a direction opposite from where you are trying to go. This caused me to fail my games because any time I tried to use the left D-pad at the same time as jumping, using the jump button would cause the d-pad to think I was pressing up and thus I wouldn't go anywhere, leading me to fall down pits or get hit by enemies. Fix this. Good controls are important
