Privacy first — not just a promise, but the architecture

WorkFlow is built local-first. Work location, working hours, corrections, and reports are stored exclusively on your device. There is no user account, no cloud synchronization, no advertising, and no product analytics in this version. The only time the app generates network traffic is during the optional address lookup in setup (using OpenStreetMap Nominatim) and for exports that you initiate yourself.

Background Location – Explained Honestly

WorkFlow collects location data to enable automatic clocking in and out, even when the app is closed or not actively being used. Location data is checked exclusively against your configured workplace geofence and remains on your device. No tracking of your routes, no movement profiles, no location history.

Honestly Explaining the Limits of Mobile Geofencing Technology

Mobile geofencing isn't always accurate down to the second. GPS accuracy, Android battery optimization, and manufacturer interventions (Samsung, Xiaomi) can delay background events. WorkFlow handles this transparently: The app clearly displays the tracking status, warns you of known issues, and allows manual adjustments at any time—you stay in control.
