DataForce Contribute is a mobile application which enables freelance contributors to work on a variety of projects for DataForce by TransPerfect, the AI Solutions division of TransPerfect Translations Inc.

What can you do with the app?

The projects you may be asked to participate in will involve some or all of the following:
- taking or sharing photographs of specified objects, people or situations,
- recording or sharing short video shots in accordance to the specifications,
- recording or sharing sound or speech samples as specified in the instructions,
- visiting places to provide information and media recorded there.

What is needed to reap full benefits of the app?

Because of the nature of media collections and activities that the app facilitates, DataForce Contribute will request several permissions for you to be able to perform the projects described above. In all cases the app requires access to the permissions only when in use to ensure your full control.

The “when in use” permissions you need to grant include:
- camera access (taking photos and recording video clips),
- files and multimedia access (sharing photos and other media files selected by you, from your device),
- microphone (recording sounds or speech samples),
- location (for location-specific reporting of information).

Please note that you will actively select the files to be shared and will always be aware of what and when you are sharing.

Ratings and reviews

Big glitches in this app. Everytime I tried to record, it wouldn't start for several seconds and when it did, the time counter would jump to 9 seconds, then 14, 27, and so on. When I would hit stop recording, it lagged considerably before stopping on 47 seconds or sometimes more,(And this is for several breif voice recordings that are only supposed to be 5 to 15 seconds long at the most. When I tried to start the process over, just getting back to the main dashboard screen would take 5mins +

Every email I sent to so many different email addresses to get assistance has not given me a response back about a job that was sent to my email and the fact that I have not seen anything show up on the app. I applied immediately and was sent the welcome email and info about the job but the job hasn't shown up on the app. And I haven't gotten a solution to the problem. Finally got the task on the website, for some reason it took a long time to show up. Dont get any task to do anymore.

App is currently unusable due to a persistent error. I’ve reached out to support multiple times with no real help so far. I need the app to upload my ingredient sample but can’t move forward. This has really affected my experience with the platform.
