CIFS Documents Provider is an Android app to provide access to shared online storage.

[Feature]

* Provide other apps with access to shared online storage via the Storage Access Framework (SAF).
* Provides access to files and directories.
* Supports SMB, FTP, FTPS and SFTP.
* Share and transfer files on online storage.
* Multiple connection settings can be stored.
* Supports connection settings export/import.
* Supports multiple languages.
* Supports dark mode.
* Can be treated as local storage. (Configuration required)
* Notifications can be displayed to prevent task kills. (configuration required)

[Objective]

* Import and export of files created by the app.
* Manage files and directories with the Storage Manager app.
* Play music, videos, etc. with the media player app.
* Direct saving of photos taken with the camera app.

[Note]

* No file management function in this app.
* To use this app, your apps must support SAF (Storage Access Framework).
* Apps that assume local storage may not work properly.
* Apps may crash when specified as a storage destination for streaming audio or video data.

Incredible app, does exactly what it's supposed to do, with no ads whatsoever and a very clean looking interface.. I wish more apps were like this these days. works great for adding a local server as a local storage location (more than just network storage location) to your phone in a way that you can interact with that in other apps, which not even the official samsung files app lets you do

Does exactly what I want it to. Was after a way to mount network storage to my phone so that directories were visible to third party apps. Worked a charm and I haven't noticed any battery drain or other adverse impacts. Performance is also great for files accessed in real time

Pixel5\Andr14. I add an SMB share, "check connection" works, but after save I don't see a way to use the folder. I check "use as local storage" in settings and rebooted, but nothing changes. In Google "Files" app, the CIFS Documents provider appears under "Other storage", but clicking on it just opens the app. I tried some other file managers, no luck either. I only can see the content of the network folder when I click to upload a file in some other app, e.g. in telegram
