Check the trees, take care of them and log them in your tree collection.
The Tree Check app allows you to determine the species of a tree from a simple photo. It will tell you what its typical features are, but also a lot of fun facts about it, such as how much water it evaporates, the size of the shade it provides and how much it cools the hot street. With Tree Check, you will finally fully understand how trees help our city life.
Life really is not easy for the trees in cities - they have little room for roots and even less water. Find out what condition the tree is in and how you can help it. Visit the tree, pour it a few litres of water and get a reward, for example in the form of a story about trees.
You can add the trees you have visited to the map, visit them again, or create your tree collection. For example, make a collection of all the memorable trees in your city. That is a challenge!
The application was created by a consortium of LIFE Tree Check project partners led by the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation. The LIFE Tree Check project received EU financial support from the LIFE program.

Nice idea. Buggy yet. It would be nice to have opportunity to move with the tree when visiting it. +-20 meters would be enough. Due to gps inaccuracy the placement is confusing, notably when there are more trees nearby.

Thank you for your feedback Filip. It is good idea and we have started to work on in.
We will see, if this is possible. But first of all, we started working on fixing the bugs that showed up after we launched the app. The update will take place in a few days and the second update will follow in September.

Camera wouldn't lock on to bark. Couldn't get any closer, kept saying it had identified but no information afterwards....

Won't let you move past taking a pic of tree trunk yet won't actually take the pic once it decides it is in exactly the perfect position.
