The "learning box" is special - it gives you the opportunity to learn selected baby signs according to categories or favorites in one go. You can even select another language (French, Spanish, English, Italian) for the term displayed - great for multilingual families. The shared baby sign thus forms a bridge between the two languages and makes it easier for the baby to learn more languages!

Baby signs are simple hand gestures that are used in addition to and to support communication with babies and toddlers. The development of speech and language in children is closely related to their movement development. Babies understand themselves and their environment, they get an idea of something before they have reached physical and mental maturity in terms of their breathing technique, oral motor skills and sound differentiation in order to be able to speak their first word.

Until then, we automatically accompany what we do and say with our hands. We show the children "sleep, eat, wave, come here" gestures to clarify our communication and make it easier for the children to understand us. These gestures or gestures become rituals that give the little ones security and encourage them to engage in simple conversation. The babies are motivated by their communication successes to gain more language experience and feel strengthened in their relationship with their language partners. Misunderstandings between toddlers and adults are reduced. Communication becomes easier for everyone involved!

It is possible to start showing individual baby signs as soon as the child is born, as more and more signs are gradually understood. At around 7-9 months of age, babies can already use their hands in a very targeted manner to communicate something to us with gestures. At the age of about 1 year, when the first word is spoken, children already learn baby signs very quickly and communicate actively with the help of their hands. Gradually and automatically, the baby signs are replaced by more and more spoken words. Up to the age of 2-3 years, the signs are also very helpful and useful for the children as a "secret language", in emotionally exciting situations and as an accompaniment to singing. Baby signs are so much fun!!!!!

The first version of our baby sign app was released in early 2013 - the first baby sign app in German-speaking countries!
