About this app

SGT time is the time tracking app for employees of companies that use SGT. Start of work, break, end of break and end of work are recorded with a single tap and sent straight to the company's time system.

Signing in requires a company number, a PersID and a PIN. Your employer provides these. Without an account at a company that uses SGT the app cannot be used.

HOW IT WORKS
• Sign in – scan the QR code on your staff card or enter the details by hand
• Large colour buttons – green for work, orange for break, red for end of work
• A confirmation with the time, then the app signs out by itself
• Only the next sensible step is offered, so wrong entries are hard to make

WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
Entries are stored encrypted on the device and sent automatically as soon as there is a connection again – with the time of the tap, not the time of sending. They are deleted from the device afterwards. If the device clock is wrong, the app detects this and corrects the difference.

LOCATION
The location is recorded with every entry and sent to the employer together with it. Before the first permission request the app explains what is recorded and why, and links to the privacy policy. The location is only determined while the app is open – never in the background. If it cannot be determined, for example inside a building without reception, the time is recorded anyway and the confirmation says so. Time recording is never held up.

BUILT FOR SHARED DEVICES
One device, many people: the app signs out after every entry, after a period without use and when it is left. No history, no credentials and no session remain on the device. Anyone using the app on their own phone can have the company number and PersID remembered – the PIN is never stored.

IN 16 LANGUAGES
German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Polish, Albanian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian and Arabic – Arabic also right to left. The language is chosen inside the app and does not change anything on the device.

PRIVACY
Transmitted are the company number, the PersID, the time of the entry, the location and – if set up – the vehicle details. The transmission is encrypted. The app shows no adverts, contains no purchases and does not track behaviour for advertising.

SGT time is a working time recording app. It does not record journeys, does not run in the background and is not intended for monitoring people.

What’s new

New: shift overview with shift start, breaks and working time (net, or gross if no break was recorded). Entries made without internet are saved with the local time of the entry. Notice when leave or another absence is recorded for today. Forgot to clock out: start a new working day after confirmation. New languages: Greek and Albanian. Improvements and bug fixes.
