About this app

This app is a viewer for recipes in Nextcloud App. You need another app (e.g. the Nextcloud Android client) to sync the recipes to your Android device.

First steps

After installation you must go into the settings view and select the recipe directory with the recipes inside.
When using the Nextcloud Android client, you find it on your storage under Android/media/com.nextcloud.client/nextcloud//.
You also can choose the theme in the settings.
After that, the start view has a list of recipes and you select a recipe to view the details.

Troubleshooting:
Make sure, the recipes are synced on the sd card, so the app can read the files.

Ratings and reviews

Works well! The app does not auto search for the account, but rather you need to point it to the recipe folder (You need to sync the folder to your phone for it to show up). Once configured it is very smooth and themes work good. If you could add sync to the nextcloud account that would be ideal for easy access.

Cool app to show the nextcloud cookbook on Android. Main problem for all the complaints is the sync issue: The android nextcloud client does not automatically sync any folder (or in this case the recipe folder with the recipes). Since this app is based on the local directory it does not show new recipes, which are already existing only, but aren't manually triggered to sync via the nextcloud app. Would be amazing to have that direct nextcloud access! Positive: I really like the advanced search, where I can search for my keywords in each recipe! I do like the design and the structure of the App. Please keep going and find a solution for that sync issue. Thanks

The reviews are mixed on this app. I personally was unable to get it to work. I was able to put the correct path to my recipe folder in the settings, but couldn't get the recipes to sync. I found another app in the play store that works right out of the box. Maybe with time the developer will have all the bugs worked out.
