3D dental anatomy atlas
Both clinicians and patients are aware, with varying levels of certainty, that anatomical variables can justify the prognosis of therapeutic interventions. To date, no one has complete knowledge of the different anatomical peculiarities of our own organs, but the clinician must be aware of the main morphological variants and their therapeutic-prognostic implications of a specific organ that is under their jurisdiction.
In our field, the more knowledge we have of the dental organ, the more perfect it seems to us and the more demanding the restitutio ad integrum of the restorative procedures that we perform daily. This application will allow the user to have dynamic knowledge about one of the most complex structures of the body: the tooth. The application allows you to view the different dental specimens in 3D, also allowing the multimedia resources to be updated or perfected without the need to resort to new editions.
The work has been carried out by a team of dentistry professors from different Spanish universities (Álvaro Zubizarreta Macho, University of Salamanca; Ana Belén Lobo Galindo, University of Salamanca; Javier Flores Fraile, University of Salamanca; Norberto Quispe López, University of Salamanca; Javier Borrajo Sánchez, University of Salamanca; Jorge Alonso Pérez-Barquero, University of Valencia; Luis Óscar Alonso Ezpeleta, University of Zaragoza José María Montiel Company, University of València; Francesc Abella Sans, UIC Barcelona; José Rufino Bueno Martínez, University of Barcelona and International University of Catalonia).
This application has been developed by Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca, with the collaboration of Endodontic Learning Center - Barcelona.
