This has worked flawlessly on my phones for about 2 years now. Some carriers will "block" this app and thus the Play Store will claim that this app is not compatible with your current version of Android. That is bogus. Grab another device if needs be. This app works great. I even use it on my router for easy shared mobile data.

First off, I use this app all the time as an alternative to the built in tethering, also use PDAnet. This app makes it so much easier to tether, since I don't have to go into the menu to enable USB tethering, it's just plug in and you're good, it's automatic. I tether directly to my OpenWRT router, it supports so many platforms, linux, mac, windows, DDWrt. Highly recommend this app, it is well worth the money

Still the best! I've been using this app on my Android phones for emergency Internet outage use for more than 10 years. There is still nothing better that works well with Linux. Fantastic documentation. It can be a bit fiddly to get it going, but once you do, it just works. Most recently installed on Galaxy S20 running Android 12 using with laptop running Arch Linux. Internet at 5G speeds with no tethering fees on T-Mobile.
