The present application calculates the THERMAL heat stress index according to the existing instructions. In contrast to the use of air temperature as a means of estimating human thermal stress, this indicator takes into account four environmental parameters for a more accurate estimate. Specifically, the calculation of the ANGER index evaluates the air temperature, humidity, air speed, as well as solar radiation. This application was created under the auspices of the Laboratory of Environmental Physiology (FAME Laboratory) of the University of Thessaly and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
This heat stress index is used by prestigious international organizations, such as the World Health Organization, the World Meteorological Organization, and the World Labor Organization. Its use is recommended for the entire population, including athletes, workers, as well as people of all ages.
Ideal REMEMBER temperature for:
• Distance athletes: 10-14 ° C
• Outdoor workers: 14-18 ° C
