北角浸信會創辦人顧佩蘭宣教士於1920年蒙神呼召，被美國南方浸信會國外傳道部差來，來到中國上海及蘇杭宣教三十餘年。後於1954年來到香港，並選擇當時有「小上海」之稱的北角居住。同年，她在都城大廈的住所開始周六晚家庭聚會，翌年增設周三查經班及主日崇拜，首次崇拜已有九十多人。隨著人數不斷增加，聚會和事工亦趨成熟和多元化，北角浸信會於1956年8月12日成立教會，迄今已超過六十年歷史，從大昌大廈及皇冠大廈遷至現址福利樓三及四樓全層，近年還增添地鋪單位及將崇拜聚會遷移到同棟大廈一樓全層。
