[Daikin Smart Remote Control]
■Using a dedicated app, your smartphone or tablet PC can quickly turn into a remote control for your air conditioner, air purifier, or circulator.
■You can freely operate air conditioners, air purifiers, and circulators, and check the temperature and air condition of your room, whether you're at home or on the go.

◇To use this app, you will need one of the following:
・Daikin Industries, Ltd. room air conditioner with LAN connection adapter connected (BRP072A41, BRP061A41, BRP051A41, BRP072A44, BRP084B41, BRP084C41, BRP087A41, BRP087A42, BRP087A43)
・Daikin Industries, Ltd. room air conditioner with built-in wireless LAN connection function
・Daikin Industries Air Purifier with built-in wireless LAN connection function
・Daikin Industries, Ltd. circulator with built-in wireless LAN connection function
◇A broadband router and wireless LAN access point are also required.

You can set the timer time by specifying the day of the week, time, driving mode, etc. to suit your lifestyle.

You can check how dirty/clean your room is with easy-to-understand 6-level numbers and cute Big Pichon-kun animation.
◆Notification display
・You can check the room temperature and humidity detected by the air conditioner, as well as the outdoor temperature. Your smartphone will notify you if you forget to turn it off or there is an abnormality.
・You can check the room temperature, humidity, dust and odor sensor information detected by the air purifier. Notify your smartphone of water tank refill timing and abnormalities

◆Welcome home operation (compatible air conditioners only)
Even when the app is closed, the smartphone's location information is used to automatically operate the room air conditioner when you enter a preset area and notify you that it has started operating.
*If you enable the function, the foreground service will be used to obtain the location information of your smartphone even when the app is closed.
◆ Notification of forgetting to turn off when going out (compatible air conditioners only)
Even when you close the app, it uses your smartphone's location information to notify you if you forgot to turn off the room air conditioner when you leave the preset area.
*If you enable the function, the foreground service will be used to obtain the location information of your smartphone even when the app is closed.

◆The operation screen can also be displayed in English. (Can be changed in smartphone settings)

*You cannot use this service if the communication status is poor.
*The application is free to use.
*Separate communication charges apply for downloading the application and accessing the server.

[Daikin Smart Remote Control]
With this dedicated app, smartphones and tablet PCs are transformed into remote controllers for air conditioners and air purifiers. Users can remotely operate air conditioners and air purifiers at or away from home, and check the temperature and air quality of the room.

One of the following is required to use this application:
-A Daikin Industries room air conditioner with a connected LAN connection adapter (BRP072A41, BRP061A41, BRP051A41, BRP072A44, BRP084B41, BRP084C41, BRP087A41, BRP087A42, BRP087A43)
-A Daikin Industries room air conditioner with a built-in wireless LAN connection adapter
-A Daikin Industries air purifier with a built-in wireless LAN connection adapter
*A broadband router and wireless LAN access point are also necessary.

Users can designate on what day, at what time, and in what mode the unit will operate according to their lifestyle.

Users can check on worrisome energy consumption.
-Room air quality tracking (air purifiers only)
Users can check room air quality with a simple 6-level air notification system that includes cute Dai Pichon-kun animations.
-Notifications
Users can check the temperature/humidity of the room and the temperature outside as detected by the air conditioner. Users smartphones will also receive notifications for any abnormalities and if they have forgotten to turn off the unit.
Users can check the temperature, humidity, dust volume, and odour intensity of the room as detected by the air purifier. Users smartphones will also receive notifications for any abnormalities and the water supply timing of the water tank.

◆Auto On Before Home (Compatible air conditioners only)
Automatically operates the room air conditioner using the location information of the smart phone.
◆AC ON when Go Out Alert (Compatible air conditioners only)
　Notifies you when you forget to turn off the room air conditioner by using the location information of your smart phone.
　
When the Auto On Before Home or AC ON when Go Out Alert is enabled, it uses foreground service and acquires the location information of the smartphone even when the application is closed.

-The operation menu can also be displayed in English (modifiable in smartphone settings)

*Application is not usable in conditions of poor connectivity.
*Use of this application is free of charge.
*Downloading the application and accessing the server will incur separate communication fees.
*The functions available in this application will vary depending on the model of LAN adapter to be used and the type of appliance to be connected.

Ratings and reviews

So, the app has an awful interface, it hangs, the air purifier randomly looses connectection with the WiFi network. Also, the Google Home integration consists in adding a button with 0 functionality. No data from the unit, no option to turn it on or off. Is it a joke? Daikin engineers, put your s*** together and don't release apps that are not ready to production. You are damaging your brand.

Data transmission extremely slow. Terrible UX. Feels like tech from 20 years ago.

Love it but a few securities and functions to work it out.
