The mobile application of the emergency number 112 (hereinafter - the Application) is intended for persons with hearing impairments. It provides an opportunity to contact the General Assistance Center to report a threat to life, health or property and to call emergency services, i.e. y. police, fire and rescue forces, ambulance service and environmental forces.
The app works only in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania and only with the SIM card of the Lithuanian mobile service provider. In order to use it, the authorization code and pre-registration provided by the Lithuanian Deaf Society is required.
For registered users, the app allows you to contact the General Help Center and call emergency services:
- Video call
- text chat (correspondence);
- a normal voice call.
The video call makes it possible for people with hearing impairments to call for emergency help in Lithuanian sign language.
Communicating with a text message is facilitated by a picture-illustrated help wizard.
Other features:
- The gadget can automatically detect and transmit the user's location data to the General Help Center.
- User can choose one of 4 languages: Lithuanian, English, Russian, Polish.
- The app can be installed on mobile phones with Android (≥ version 5.1) or iOS (≥ version 10.0) operating system.
