About this app
To provide public with more ways to obtain the emergency information of Macau, Cartography and Cadastre Bureau of Macao Special Administrative Region has launched the “GeoGuide for emergency” mobile map App, which allows public to obtain important information such as the areas may be affected during different “Storm Surge” warning levels, areas may be affected by Power Suspension Measures, Real-time water level monitoring information, location of each Emergency Shelter and the Emergency Hotline of Macau via mobile phone.
The APP has built-in geographic information such as areas may be affected during different “Storm Surge”, Emergency Shelter, Meeting Place / Place to Stay for Emergency Evacuation, Hospital, Health Center, Public Security Unit, Fire Services Unit and Customs Unit. The public only needs to activate the satellite positioning function of the mobile phone to see if the current location is within the expected range of the “Storm Surge”, learn about the location information of the nearby Emergency Shelter and Place to Stay for Emergency Evacuation, and plan the walking route to the nearest Emergency Shelter in advance.
The online version of “GeoGuide for emergency” can display the current severe weather warning signals, including tropical cyclones, rainstorm, thunderstorm, and “Storm Surge” warning levels, real-time water level monitoring station information and sailings information, so that the public can browse various types of emergency information.
