About this app

Safe, fast open source digital diary.

It supports multiple diary files. Provides many tools for organizing big diary files with lots of entries.

Lifeograph has been available for Linux desktops since 2008. Now, it brings a significant portion of its comprehensive feature set into the mobile world. (In the upcoming versions, it will be more on par with the desktop version.)

MAIN FEATURES

• It is an open source software (under GPL). Everybody can investigate the source code to make sure that it does nothing undesirable with the information users enter
• Optionally protects diaries with real encryption (AES256) --not just passwords
• Offers exporting diaries into plain text file (a universally readable file)
• It is cross-platfom with native Linux and Windows desktop versions
• Supports multiple diary files that can be utilized for different purposes (such as work notes and personal notes)
• Saves diaries automatically on close but it is also possible to close without saving when needed
• Automatically formats entry title s and provides a wiki-like markup system for basic rich text formatting (*bold*, _italic_, =strikeout=, etc…)
• Supports editable color themes for entries
• Provides three different types of chapters to organize entries of different kinds in a diary
• Entries can be marked as favorite
• Marking entries as to-do items with many statues (such as "canceled" and "in progress")
• Entries can be filtered according to the text contained within. to-do status and being favorite. The filter to be applied at open can be saved in the diary
• Entry tagging and grouping by tags
• Links to other entries and URIs
• Uses a text based diary format. So, your data can be accessed using any text editor in an urgent situation

My use case is syncing with Syncthing back to desktop. This is possible, but you have to manually allow "Storage" permissions on Pixel 2 device. The app should ask user for those permissions. Besides the above, so far so good! I'll update my review after I have more time using the app.

It keeps stopping and having to be closed, so I uninstalled it. Restarted phone and app. No better. Unable to save entries due to regular crashes. Using on android, samsung s9 non-rooted.

Terrible! Doesn't work. Can't add a journal entry. Please fix because the desktop version works great.

• Ads removed. Now it is completely free. Thanks to every user who supported Lifeograph by purchasing it before.
• Dedicated diary directory system dropped. Diary files in any directory in the file system can be added to the diary file list similar to the desktop version.
