The New Testament is the second part of the Bible and is a series of books and letters written after Jesus' death.

In the New Testament we find a lot of information about the life of Jesus, his actions on earth, his evangelization and his teachings

While Christians share the Old Testament with the Jews, the New Testament is exclusively Christian

The New Testament consists of 27 books corresponding to the Gospels, Acts, Epistles and the final chapter, Revelation

The word "testament" comes from the Hebrew "berith" which means "covenant or convention" and refers to the covenant between God and man.


LUTHER BIBLE

The Bible is the most influential Bible in German and a milestone in German literature.

The Luther Bible was created by Martin Luther with the help of other theologians (especially Philipp Melanchthon).

Martin Luther was a German theology professor, priest, monk and a very important figure in the Protestant Reformation.

He translated the Bible from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into German (originally Early High German). The complete Bible was published in 1534
