About this app
"Digital Stress Buddy" is primarily intended for healthcare professionals during and after today's crisis. It gives them insight into the balance between stress and energy sources while providing much needed care, tips on how to deal with stress, information where to find support, as well as links to helpful information sources. Data is collected for the purpose of self-monitoring and also to gain insight into the incidence of stress-related complaints among healthcare professionals. This also allows psychosocial support teams to gain insight into the possible care needs of the professional and fellow professionals.
The app contains 3 questionnaires:
O Stress Buddy: helps the user to gain insight into the balance between their own experienced stress sources and energy sources. After completing the form, the user receives tips to improve the balance.
O A list of questions with the aim of gaining an up-to-date picture of the concerns among healthcare professionals about possible infection with the virus. After completing the form, the user will receive tips on how to deal with any concerns.
O RECCAP questionnaire: This is a composite questionnaire consisting of questions about: anxiety, stress and mood complaints; burnout complaints; dealing with difficult situations, and resilience. These questions aim to provide insight into the resilience and stress-related complaints of healthcare professionals during and after the crisis. By completing this questionnaire, it is possible to respond better to the possible care needs of the professional and fellow professionals. After completing the questionnaire, the user receives tips; for example about how to recognize signals of stress and complaints and about aftercare options.
This app is an initiative of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), composed in part with the help of advice from the Ministry of Defense and ARQ National Psychotrauma Center.
