This app does not cover 100% of apps. Chrome for example will show only a black statusbar and nothing else (no battery, time etc). For those of you like me, who are looking for an app to black out the statusbar as well as add rounded corners, that works for 100% of the time, use an app called Nacho Notch. It works 100% of the time as far as I can tell. It has limitations and I would personally choose THIS app if it worked 100% of the time but it doesn't, and until then I will be using natcho notch.

excellent, but it changes the colour of my navigation bar despite turning off the option to decorate it. also, the app doesn't work on the lock screen. 5 stars if these issues are fixed. my phone is the Pocophone f1. Edit: just discovered my requests can't be done in Android 9 and in my device

There are some really cool features in this app, but the bar that is supposed to hide the app gets put in the wrong place in landscape mode leaving the notch totally visible. Instead of a black bar that goes from the edge of the screen to the bottom of the notch area, the black bar starts at the bottom of the notch area and continues to cover part of the app. As a result, wide angle movies are still partially cut off by the notch, then cut off again by a misplaced black stripe.
