Picture Bible with sound in the language of the Sinti, for younger and older readers.
There are many different children's Bibles around the world. However, this picture Bible in Romanes* differs from the others. The main difference is that in most children's Bibles, the texts are rephrased and simplified to make them easier to understand. The main purpose of this picture Bible is just the opposite: we have used the direct text of the Bible whenever possible and reformulated it as little as possible.
There is a colored picture for every Bible text in this app. The picture expresses how the painter imagined the biblical scene. The pictures were painted by different artists, and everyone used their own personal style of painting.
In this app you can also hear the text of each included story read by a native speaker.
The audio files can be downloaded or streamed. When the sound is played, the sentence just read is highlighted in color. This function can be switched off in the settings.
The text size and line spacing can be adjusted. The app can also be set to dark mode or sepia mode.
The app also includes some biblical maps and photos of some places that appear in the Bible. You can also search for words or names and return to the last opened pages.
*Sinti also write their language ‘Romenes’ or ‘Romnes’ or speak of ‘Sintitikes’.
