Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write is the newest member of the Imperial Settlers board games Family. It is a standalone game set in the universe of popular Portal Games titles Imperial Settlers and Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North. The game is heavily focused on engine building! Constructing buildings will grant you a special bonuses and unlock new levels. With each passing turn the game will offer you more choices as your empire will gain momentum.


In the digital version of our board game you start from one settlement. Get enough strength and conquer more and more with your settlers from different fractions to make your Empire grow stronger. Ratings and reviews

Being a paid app, there should absolutely never be locked content that is inaccessible because you have to literally perfect a round. If you were going to use something(crowns) to lock away layouts and settlements, we should at the least be able to earn one star for the completion of a settlement when score allows, or at most have the option to unlock all content in the settings menu. Having to perfect a round in order to advance in the game is ridiculous. I do not recommend this game.

I love this interpretation of the roll and write game. I like the idea of advancement, but it's a little unclear how to get extra stars. I feel like I'm playing pretty well, but am still only getting one star in each level. The tutorial was also not that helpful. I learned more by just playing more. There are also a few typos, but that's just nitpicky. Overall, great effort!

Pretty luck dependant but fun game. It could have been better developed though. Tutorial is USELESS (check out "watch it played" on YouTube). Inspecting the map when selecting favor token shouldn't require you to hold your thumb pressed down. Should have a +counter next to resources based on buildings you've unlocked so you know what you're getting with the new round. Unlocking maps feels a bit too grindy for a paid game. Sfx/music/animations are okay. Good game overall. Try to snag it on sale.
