About this app

The “Emergency Competencies” app from the Austrian Red Cross, Styria Regional Association gives emergency paramedics a quickly navigable and clear overview of the contents of the Emergency Competencies Manual 1 - NFS/NKA/NKV including recommendations for action and medication lists 1 and 2 in the current version.

The indications, effects, dosage, side effects and contraindications are listed in the individual algorithms and refer to the manufacturer's respective specialist information. In addition, for certain medications, reference is made to a dosing schedule from the Styrian Red Cross.
The algorithms are arranged alphabetically and are easy to find using the menu navigation.
The available ampoule sizes and the dosages they contain are also clearly displayed for each medication.

The app also contains a consumption report, where medication consumption is reported back to the Styrian regional association by providing the application number.

This app is intended to support emergency paramedics from the Styria regional association. The respective algorithms and information on medications correspond to the status at the date of publication of the current version.
This app does not release emergency paramedics from their obligation to undergo further training and the necessary duty of care with regard to service instructions and doctrine.

Personal registration in the app is only possible for registered paramedics of the Austrian Red Cross, Styria Regional Association.
