Edit: Haven't used the app for awhile & coming back. Was able to add my own custom font and make text even larger (eye issues). I have plenty of room to make it really large (hope I don't have to!) Able to make the colors as I like so it's easiest to read for me, with no bright whites and a nice dark grey background. I was reading Reddit constantly thru my fave app, but now that that app is gone, happy to have customization here! Edit, old request: TY on importing opml; will try. I missed that!

Handy News Reader has been a Godsend after the shitshow that READ rss reader became. I hope its layout and functionality never change and that it does remain ad free. That said, I'd gladly spend five bucks or so for a paid version were it to be released with the same feature set. Its behavior is predictable, and does not download the full article and attachment by default, like some other RSS readers I've tried. Love this application.

Love the app for allowing to create notifications for news via RSS, especially those who want to catch it at the first minute or so. However, making it showing pop-up and sound notifications will occassionally show a "Refreshing feed" or something similar notification that will lead to notifications being made without any news. Would be nice if the notification feature to be tweaked a bit better, at least doesn't create notification until there's actual news.

That notification is demanded by Android to allow the app work in background (to update feeds automatically).
