The objective of the game is to try and sink the opponents ship before they sink all your ships.

The game is played on grids. The grids are typically square - usually 10×10 and the individual squares in the grid are identified by letter and number. On one grid the player arranges ships and records the shots by the opponent. On the other grid the player records their own shots.

Before play begins, each player secretly arranges their ships on their primary grid. Each ship occupies several consecutive squares on the grid, arranged either horizontally or vertically. The number of squares for each ship is determined by the type of the ship. The ships cannot overlap (i.e., only one ship can occupy any given square in the grid). The types and numbers of ships allowed are the same for each player.

Great game. Great fun. Easy to understand. Easy to play. Straightforward game play. Nice options for opponent play; four different modes. Subtle strategies with old school THINKING. One of the best features, among the many, is allowing you to continue your turn after you score a hit. This is the perfect electronic version of the extremely popular original plastic version of Battleship.

Computer opponent is not very good. Currently I have won 38 out of 39 games and the one I lost I would have won on my next shot. Many of the shots the computer takes make no sense like aiming for a spot no ship could possibly be. I'm not a programmer but I think this could be avoided. Its fun to win though. I like the non-linear shape of some of the ships. It adds a bit more to the strategy.1

Yes! ★This is the one!★ Clever & well-designed for simple gameplay & minimal ads: it takes me right back to the days of setting up my little grey ships, marking hits and misses with the white and red pegs, and the constant suspicion that my brother was cheating, lol! 😉 Climbing the ranks of naval command as I play is fantastic -- a stroke of genius! 🤓 That added element is where I place most of the blame for getting me hooked right from the start!
