Here you’ll find many types of board games, including thousands you’ve probably never seen in a store. We run the gamut from the light and whimsical Carcassonne to the serious and heavy empire-building of Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition. Well-known games like Monopoly exist in the database as well, although you’ll find almost all users prefer modern games that exhibit advancements in game play and component quality since Monopoly was first published.

Ratings and reviews

Missing a lot of features from the actual website. Edit: For replying so quickly and caring what the community thinks of the app, I raised the rating. I appreciate and respect you for that. As for a couple of missing features, I would love to have some way to view our geek gold amounts and to be able to alter our profiles as you can do on the site. I can't view the desktop version from my phone any longer and forces it to use the app layout. I have to uninstall to view the desktop version now.

Needs work. I still use the old open-source BBG because this one doesn't offer searching your collection by player count. I need to use it to find appropriate games for a group. Then the same notifications pop up again and again. My Geek > Notification Bar > [Notification Options] So, you have to just turn them off.

Just like the website, a horribly unintuitive app. The website is so poor on mobile devices (hey, it is only 2025 now to be fair) I had hoped this would improve that, but what it gains in some areas it loses in others. They really should listen to user feedback, but it seems they don't care. In the app, things like editing comments and voting on player count are extremely unintuitive. Why doesn't the filter to 'View ratings' with comments persist?
