I knew it was too good to last... They're changing it to a subscription service instead of a free one. I'm completely uninterested in paying for a subscription for a couple mobile games. I'd rather just be able to buy them outright. Related, it's a shame that the mobile gaming scene as a whole seems to have little to no interest in preserving mobile games. Companies delist their games and updates to OS make many games unplayable. Even worse, ppl don't even seem to care that buying isn't owning.

I always wondered how they planned to monetize this. Well, Halfbrick+ is now a subscription model. While you can pay for a one-time lifetime fee, which is probably worth it if the service stays for years to come, I dont have that kind of money right now. I love everything Halfbrick does, and have been enjoying their stuff for years, but jeez, they need to figure out how to advertise something without straight up lying and taking it away after just a few months.

This used to be a great service, but of course it was too good to be true. Halfbrick recently announced that Halfbrick+ would now have a subscription model, which I wasn't initially against. But the lifetime membership costs $135, which is absolutely absurd for a bunch of mobile games that used to cost just a few dollars or be completely free. (Some still are.) Of course a lot of those games are now taken down and this is now the only way to play them. I'm very disappointed, Halfbrick.
