This app contains two remote in it self.

1st remote for appletv is for older tvOS (tvOS<15) Apple TV 4K 1st Gen
2nd remote for appletv is for new tv OS (tvOS=15) Apple TV 4K 2nd Gen

How To use Apple TV Remote application:-

1. Connect your phone and Apple TV in same wifi network. After that Open the app and select remote type. If you select old remote then pairing with Apple TV is not mandatory but in latest remote pairing with Apple TV is required.

2. After selecting the device press the start button. After that app start discover the Apple TV devices in network and shows the list of the Apple TV devices on the screen of phone.

3. Select Apple TV device from the list. if you use old remote than after selecting the Apple TV device it shows the remote but if you use latest remote then pairing dialog box will start showing on screen.

4. For Pairing enter the pin shows on the screen of the Apple TV. If phone is paires successfully then you can see the remote screen of the app. But if pairing fails dueto any reason like network fluctuations or wrong pin then error message will display on the screen. but if pair fails then reselect appletv and try to pair again.

5. After showing up the remote screen you can use any button to control the Apple TV. Enjoy the app.

Tried a few different apps and this was the only one that reconnected reliably and didnt have full page ads. This app also worked without needing to pair. Update: Too many ads now. Not so good.

Either new or old option won't pair with my Apple TV 4K 1st gen ; Both options show the same thing and when I press any button on the remote, an airplay code appears on the TV, but now dialog box appears in my phone to input the code
