About this app

ClayMate is a productivity tool designed to help potters keep track of the various works that they have in-flight. Never forget what glazes you used ever again! ClayMate is a quick, streamlined alternative to tracking pottery in notes or spreadsheets.

Some features include:

- Viewing work by status, and dragging-and-dropping pieces between the statuses
- Viewing the most recently updated pieces that have been worked on
- Adding notes (by status or in-general), adding glazes, and adding tags
- Searching for works by: status, clay body, tags, notes, title, and glazes
- Bulk updating pieces
- Adding images from other apps to an idea board
- Viewing the timeline of status changes per-piece
- Adding multiple pictures for a piece with the ability to rearrange order
- A leveler tool to aid with things like trimming on a chuck
- Exporting and importing the data in the app so it never gets lost
- Archiving old pieces

If there's a feature you're waiting on, try being creative with tags until it's implemented! For example, if you want to keep track of all your favorite pieces: add a tag for Favorite! The tag will be pre-populated in the browse view once it is created.

And if you've made it this far:

This is a hobby project by a lone developer! I am not now nor planning in the future to monetize this app. I needed the app for my own work, made it, and thought I'd share :)

Please reach out if you'd like to see changes in the application, I'll respond as quick as I can.

This app has been a game changer for me in tracking the status of my in-process pottery. It has helped me to improve my skills, to plan ahead and build on previous work. The U/I is simple and intuitive. I used it easily from the start, using more and more features as needed. I wish glazes were listed alphabetically, rather than as entered, and that there was an "oxidation" vs "reduction" option. I'd also prefer slips to be in a separate list from glazes. UPDATE: Firing info is great!

This app has been incredible for keeping track of all my projects. Including photos alongside each stage of each piece is absolutely game changing for finding my work on shared shelving. I love being able to add custom statuses — I added 'kept,' 'gifted,' and 'discarded' after completed to help keep track of where my work ends up. Works well for me as a beginner too, without being overwhelming. Looking forward to trying some of the more detailed features as I learn more about pottery.

This is an incredibly user-friendly and thoughtfully designed app. I use it exclusively to track the progress of my pottery pieces and, most importantly, track the glaze combinations I'm using. I love the ability to add tags for easier searching of past pieces. The developer is very responsive and helpful. I couldn't be happier with this app!
