About this app

This app provides access to ZEF Energy's network of public chargers, allowing drivers to find a charger, start/stop a charging session and pay for their session costs in a secure and simple way.

It also provides drivers with a ZEFNET-enabled charger in their home a way to monitor and control its usage. If your charger is participating in a utility program which restrict charging at certain times, this app provides the ability to override some program restrictions in order to charge in an emergency.

The ZEF app is a little un-polished. I was able to charge my car, but it wasn't as smooth as it should have been. The password field wasn't recognized as a password to the Google password manager, so it wouldn't auto fill. You need a minimum of $5 on your account when starting a charge. You can't add funds during a charge to make it charge longer, it stopped charging at my original balance. You have to add funds =>$1, when I tried adding just 13¢ the payment screen just spun.

The app is not easy to use and the the chargers rarely work.

Poorly designed: will not show you available chargers unless you're unplugged, will not let you cancel a start charge attempt if the wrong one is selected, sometimes crashes thinking you're still plugged in forcing you to literally delete and reinstall the app to fix, or literally unplug someone else's car who is idling to convince the app you're not connected to that EVSE
