BioClimSol offers expertise in the risks linked to climate change to which companies are exposed.

Diagnostic approach, follow the guide!
Thanks to its ergonomic and intuitive forms, the application accompanies you step by step in the forest, in
a fluid and robust diagnostic approach. Description of the relief, soil characteristics, settlement
forester or even health observations are thus collected by the user directly in the plot.
With geolocation, other data is extracted from loaded geographic information layers
in the device from the CNPF servers. These data make it possible to provide information on the characteristics
climatic and morphometric of the plot for a complete diagnosis.

Visualize the risks of dieback.
For 13 French species, the tool offers expertise on dieback risks based on
numerous field studies. These studies configure the tool’s algorithms which reflect the effects of
different explanatory factors of the observed phenomena, and in particular establish relationships between
intensity of dieback and climatic, topo-edaphic, silvicultural conditions, or even the presence of organic
attackers. The calculations result in an evaluation of the probabilities of observing dieback in the
situation noted by the user.

Evaluate the ecological compatibility of species.
For 34 other species, BioClimsol completes its expertise with an evaluation of the compatibility between
ecological characteristics of these species and conditions noted in the environment. This expertise is based on
the analysis of 7 climatic parameters which govern the global distribution of these species, as well as their
requirements regarding the environment determined through 6 topoedaphic parameters likely to
represent a limiting factor.

A vision of the future in a changing climate context.
BioClimSol algorithms use a large number of climate data from models
most efficient and resolved spatial systems (MétéoFrance). To have future prospects in the
most likely trajectories of climate change, the tool uses projections of future climates
parameterized according to temperature rise scenarios and established from scientific work
of the IPCC.

demanding interdisciplinary courses. Interpreting the results also requires a thorough understanding

The modular design of BioClimSol and the learning principle on which it is based (data used
in the context of collaborative sciences) allow permanent scalability of its performances,
functionalities and uses. The expertise methods can also be applied to all forestry issues.
